Reply #32: I'm seriously considering leaving the US right now

The summer that I was nineteen years old, I got into the thought of leaving the United States for another country permanently. It started because I was pissed off about the fact that I couldn't legally drink here but could in virtually any other country at my age...and as the weeks of that summer rolled by, learned more and more of these facts listed above. I was completely, absolutely shocked when I initially learned a lot of this stuff five years ago. Ever since then, my thoughts of emigrating to Canada or Europe have never been too far from my mind.

I've pretty much decided that as soon as I have enough money saved up and a solid job in another country, I'm out of here.
