122. DUers need to start a letter writing campaign
If we all emailed shultz or olbermann on the same day, maybe they would take notice.

The numbers of people homeless, in poverty are growing and it is clearly visible in large cities as well as small towns.

It seems that our media is going out of their way to not cover it, meanwhile pumping our 'recovering' jobless economy.

I am seeing stories in our local paper, about homeless students trying to survive and finish high school, people dying while sleeping outside, one man climbed into a trash can to keep warm and an employee not knowing he was there turned on the trash compactor when he got to work.

If you are seeing suffering people in your town and no one is talking about it, call the local media and ask them to cover it. New homeless camp going up, crowds of people on the corners looking for work, families being thrown out of their homes...whatever it is, we can at least ask the media to cover it. Many times they are just kicking back waiting for the next AP story about tiger woods to print, but there might be actual journalist out there that want to write a real story.
