He, like Rove, has been gloriously wrong countless times in the past few years. He's no longer the wonder boy, the know-it-all, the authority. He's a desperate man trying desperately to cling on to some kind of relevancy. He's grabbing at Palin's mini-skirted hem for dear life. Secretly, he's smart enough to know she's a cipher. But he's a man who needs someone to get him into the club. He's standing outside, the bouncer doesn't recognizer him, and then the right's "It" girl swishes by and he goes prostrate at her high-heeled feet hoping she'll let him tag along. And she will, as long as he kisses her feet and tells her she's cute.
