I am well aware of Conservates need to warp reality to fit their religiouspolitical views, but I must remain aware of the real world. I feel it's a better long term way to operate.

THE AMA ONLY REPRESENTS ABOUT 15% (actually somewhat inflated number) - see the Dr's Blog below:

this entry appeared about 5 days after the June 2009 article you referred to.

Doc Gurley's blog

Today President Obama was booed while speaking to the AMA. Presumably by a doctor.

The AMA is an organization that most Americans believe represents all doctors, when, in fact, at a stretch, we're talking about 15%. Even that number is fluffed by including retired doctor members who don't see patients, plus medical students and residents - whose "membership" is almost a freebie foisted on them.

The list of many medical professional organizations I listed, which (i.e. the doctors groups) represents many more doctors than the AMA represents, ae real, not made up. YOu may choose to ignore them, pretend they do not exist. But the reality is they do exist and that most doctors wanted a P.O. or single payer.
