Literally, from birth, Gramm lived a taxpayer-subsidized life. He was born in a military hospital. He taught at Texas A&M, and lived off the taxpayer's dime as a U.S. Rep and Senator.

It seems the louder they denounce government, the more they've lived off the taxpayer's dime.

I loved that Environmental Working Group website that lists all farmers by county in the U.S. and the amount of federal farm program dollars they received. The biggest recipients were the ones who you always heard saying we didn't need the government in agriculture.
