TEA BAGGERS versus RONALD REAGAN
Advertisements [?]

All the conservative tea baggers are up in arms because President Obama is trying to limit the number of nuclear weapons in the world. It doesn't matter to them that we have enough arms to annihilate the planet many times over. They don't want to reduce our nuclear weapons by even one. These conservatives say they fiscal conservatives, but they want to continue to pay to maintain weapons we will never use and will never need. But the tea bagging leaders like Palin get huge ovations from their mostly illiterate and ignorant audiences. They cheered on the Bush Administration's decision to leave the option open to bomb entire towns in Iraq or Afghanistan, presumably just to get one bad guy. It's madness, but during Bush's reign right wingers often filled up the internet with their desires to turn parts of the Middle East sand into glass using nuclear weapons. They didn't care about the consequences or the numbers of innocent people which would be killed.

Right wingers don't even have a clue that their god, Ronald Reagan, often spoke out against nuclear weapons and specifically Reagan wrote in his memoirs, "For the eight years I was president, I never let my dream of a nuclear-free world fade from my mind".

Reagan almost succeeded in getting an agreement with Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev to destroy all nuclear weapons within ten years. But tea bagging conservatives don't even know anything about Ronald Reagan. All they know are the sound bites they are fed by opportunistic manipulators in the conservative movement.

President Reagan also made the following anti-nukes speech in Changhai, China: "We live in a troubled world, and the United States and China, as two great nations, share a special responsibility to help reduce the risks of war. We both agree that there can be only one sane policy to preserve our precious civilization in this modern age: A nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought. And no matter how great the obstacles may seem, we must never stop our efforts to reduce the weapons of war. We must never stop at all until we see the day when nuclear arms have been banished from the face of this Earth."

Is there even one tea bagger who isn't ignorant? They seem to constantly worship Reagan as their conservative god, but seem to know nothing about any of the things Reagan did.
