57. Yes, I noticed that a year ago, when we had a major ice storm
and ALL the power went out in my city. My neighborhood was out for 4-5 hours...some were out for DAYS. It was a bitterly cold day - I bundled up in my living room and took out the battery radio, searching for some kind of local news to see how widespread the outages were...and lo and behold...there was none on any local station at all. The only local information I could get was the local NPR station, which only mentioned the ice storm and damage to a transmitting tower.

I was extremely annoyed. . .an entire town out of power, some parts for days, and no information on any local radio.
