256. Exactly, and until all the different reasons for homelessness
are addressed on a thread like this nothing is accomplished.
It remains mostly ranting and raging.
I've been involved in my community with people who are homeless and sadly it has become a way of life for many.
For those that have underlining issues that they can't or won't address the apartments that many people work on to get them are usually short lived.
Homelessness runs on quite a few tracks simultaneously and yes affordable housing should be available, and to many it is through govt.programs.
The one thing I have seen is that when a person is determined and focuses on the process of getting housing it has worked out for them.
Many times this does involve medical and physiological attention, and here's where they drop out of the system.
Even if beautiful new housing was available dire problems would remain and have to be dealt with.
