421. losing the 60th senate seat might turn out to be the best thing for us
the 60 super majority inspired unpalatable compromises with blue-dogs and new dems. perhaps now we can get some principled action and lobbying by Obama for a more progressive agenda. His interview with GS last night was revealing- admitted making a mistake of not communicating better what he was doing and why, leaving people with the impression he was working for corporations and wall street rather than for the people (he really is folks). MA was a wake up call and OBama and the Dems in congress need to now start arguing with principle, responding to the base, rather than making compromises with fringe conservative Dem senators. Should be interesting!
