161. Lol,It not "My" Town,Hehe...
Virgil Kansas is an old dying Oil Boom town,Incorporated in the 1890's built up in the 30's,40's and 50's.
Its economic base nowadays is cattle Ranching and AgraBiz...like a lot of communities in this part of the US it is slowly fading,The young people are leaving just as soon as they can, there is no money here, none.

We have two businesses here...A Freeper Bar that is open 4 hours a nite,4 days a week and the Woodson County COOP,Virgil Branch...The Feed Store and Grain Silo (Every Kansas town has one).

The nearest town is Hamilton Ks.about 10 miles away by County Road,The nearest Grocery store in 19 miles, the nearest Gas is 24 Miles,The Hospital is also 24 miles away.If one needs anything that the small grocery store doesn't have the nearest "Real" Town is Emporia...41 miles away.

As a Native New Yorker (I grew up in Nassau County Long Island)and tho this area is Freep as Hell,We love it here. We laughingly say "There is 66 of "Them" and 2 of "Us".

Hey,Every Town should have a "Tokin Hippie" or Two!
