144. Got the court cases!
Thanks to the magnified view first linked to in #53:
Scattered on the steps are:

Marbury vs. Madison (1803): established judicial review
Martin vs. Hunter's Lessee (1816): first case to assert ultimate Supreme Court authority over state courts in matters of federal law
Gibbons vs. Ogden (1824): established Congress' power to regulate interstate commerce
Everson vs. Board of Education (1947): a church-state matter, strengthened separation
Roe vs. Wade (1973): needs no introduction
Kelo vs. New London (2005): permitted eminent domain seizures for private development projects.

Interesting and very telling what he considers the Supremes worst decisions (and which ones he doesn't). Heck, I even agree about the last one, but it doesn't rate being in the top 6 bad decisions.
