And for that matter the face of lynch mobs for nearly 100 years after the end of slavery.

And of course the face of slave owners for hundreds of years before the Civil War.

The face of generations of Klan members.

But, unfortunately, though such faces have passed on, or the more-recent largely so, they have managed to reproduce. And they are now the face of teabaggers/deathers/birfers, too often young faces, today.
