They will require him to vocalize an "oath" that
he DOES.

My two daughters have been raised without
religious beliefs, and it has not presented
any problems, because they are not required
to say "under god" in the pledge, et. al.

I don't know WHAT I would have told my child
if it was a boy, and he wanted to be a boyscout..

I would hate for him to have to lie to join,
my kids went to Bible School when they wanted to,
but they never were required to take "oaths" or
pledges to supernatural beings.
