Hands over ears! Ann Coulter is coming to town
The Southern Evangelical Seminary in Matthews has had some explaining to do. Officials invited potty-mouthed Ann Coulter to speak next month, and her behavior often isn't particularly church-like. Her gutter language, personal attacks -- last month she called N.C. Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards a "faggot" -- and venomous diatribes against all things liberal, or that she perceives as liberal, draw condemnation even from some who share her politics.
Seminary president Alex McFarland defends inviting her: "Who among us hasn't said something intemperate from time to time?"
True. But isn't there a biblical edict about seeking forgiveness for your transgressions?
Not Ann Coulter. She doesn't think anything she says or does is wrong. Someone who does no wrong? Uh, who does she think she is?
