Reply #114: There's always going to be terrible things happening

No Michael Jackson death is not more tragic than anyone who died today. Someone dies, the people whose lives were touched by that person tend to show emotion and sadness and pay tribute to that person's life for a few days. Then there's a funeral and we carry on with life. There will always be crap going on that's important and serious, but taking time to honor someone who has passed away is just what we humans do. I guess MJ's passing is newsworthy because he was, well, kinda famous. In a couple weeks we'll be back to bitching about whatever it was we were bitching about yesterday I'm sure.
