I remove Fox "News" from the programmed channels of any and all hotel rooms that I stay in... hee hee

Also wrote to the manager of a hotel who always has that crap on during continental breakfast, didn't hear anything back but he or she needs to know that I can't stand it.

This bothers me as much as all of the tvs that I see on college campuses in an EMPTY tv lounges, empty hotel work out rooms and lobbies, and empty doctor or dentist waiting rooms. ALWAYS TURN THEM OFF - we're all paying for that wasted energy. Even if the rooms are not empty I ask others who are in the room if I can turn them off, most simply don't care - it's background noise...and often QUITE LOUD.

This is on top of all of the computers that are constantly on when nobody is using them...
