apparently we can ignore them and treat them badly. but dictators that kill their people, we shake their hands and be friends with them. I don't see how being a jerk to someone will help relations. nor do i see how treating someone like a person who was elected by their people does anything but treat them with the respect that they deserve and give us the ability to possibly work with them on making the lives of their citizens better.
