These guys go into a place for a few hours to record things based on events that occurred over a period of years and make a judgment based on that small time they were there.

A serious investigation would use several brands of voice recorders placed in the same room at different spots, same with cameras/etc, over a long period of time. Followed by an investigation of the data, it's points of origins, and so on.

They also spend too much time on the entertainment aspect (so and so left, X is upset over Y, and the list goes on).

If they are going to investigate do it right, be serious about it, and cut out all the stupid BS they seem to focus on.
