When I was a teenager I couldn't find women's jeans with an inseam long enough (I have very long legs) so I bought men's jeans instead.

They worked well because I was also very thin and didn't have hips.

But now I'm older and have hips (boy do I ever!) and men's jeans just would not work. Fortunately, women's jeans accommodate tall women, but now, like you said, they're all the hip hugging styles.

I prefer the white cotton undies in a size large enough to be comfortable. That means the waistband goes halfway up my chest. OK, I'm exaggerating. A little.

But still....those hip hugger things are sooooo uncomfortable....

At least a lot of them now have a bit of "stretch" to them....thank you spandex...
