Hawaii produced the birth certificate ages ago. These loons simply refuse to acknowledge its legitimacy, is all. What's more, they allude to the existence of completely nonexistent "reissued and sealed birth certificates in the names Barack Hussein Obama, Barry Soetoro, Barry Obama, Barack Dunham and Barry Dunham" to add an air of otherwise nonexistent mystery to the situation. They also demand things that no natural-born citizen of the United States (as Obama is) even has, such as "a certified copy of your Certification of Citizenship" and "a certified copy of your Oath of Allegiance taken upon age of maturity." What hooey. Same thing with "certified copies of your admission forms for Occidental College, Columbia University and Harvard Law School." Even if those existed (what the hell is an "admission form"? There are "admission applications" and "admission letters," but what the hell is an "admission form"?), what would THEY have to do with Obama's citizenship? Then they want "certified copies of any court orders or legal documents changing your name from Barry Soetoro." What if his name never WAS Barry Soetoro? And even if it had been, so what? Bill Clinton once had a different name. Gerry Ford once had a different name. No one ever asked them for copies of legal documents related to the changing of THEIR names.
No, this "demand" will be ignored like all the others, because it deserves to be.
It's all about this: By even making it, these right-wing nutjobs are setting themselves up deliberately so that they can get away with regarding Obama as an illegitimately seated president and his every act as a criminal offense, and refuse to recognize his position as Commander in Chief, his appointments, or any laws he signs. In other words, they're preemptively declaring themselves unrequired to acknowledge that he even IS the president, or that any of his actions while in office have any merit whatsoever, or that they have to follow any laws he signs or any military directives he gives.
Well, all I can say is, that's the same thing many of us did in our hearts after the "results" of the 2000 and 2004 elections.
I guess they are free to see how refusing to acknowledge the legitimacy of a president works. I'm afraid to break it to them, but it really doesn't work out so well.
