Obama victory in my corner of South Korea

So, I went out to a Galbi place with two co-workers (complete Obama supporters). We spent about 89,000 KRW on dinner and drinks celebrating an Obama victory.

As we raised our soju, these four older Korean men smiled at me, said "Obama. . .gansameda (Obama. . .thank you)" and shook my hand as the Korean news broadcast of Obama's victory speech played.

There was alot of revelry in the restaurant and I could tell that the Koreans here were happy for what we did as America. The fact that they drank soju with us and smiled, toasting Obama, meant a lot to me. They paid their bill, shook my hand again and spoke a few things in Korean that one of my co-workers translate. The gist was "America has finally woken up."

Here in Korea, we (foreigners and Koreans) are celebrating Obama's victory! We will get really fed and drunk on January 21st, when he is sworn (since we're 13 - 16 hours ahead of the United States).

What a great day!

Gobama! GoBiden! Go Democrats! Go DU!!!
