y'know, the results in situations like this end up being the same. except, one group does it proudly and uses it to sell them as being strong in their beliefs, whereas the other does it with a sense of impotence and lowers the morale of all their backers. fascinating, it's almost like there's a trend, or some sort of script... same choice, one you get rewarded, one you get punished, but the result is the same. it's like there's someone out there training people how to think or something...
