I've been a political news junkie since 1980. CNN used to be my main source of news during the good old days when Ted Turner created a wonderful new concept. Since that time we all know what has become opf CNN and the rest of the cable dustbin.

About 6 months ago I decided to program my TV to simply not even show CNN or CNNHN or Fox on my TV. I thought I would not be able to resist going back though. Much to my surprise, after about two weeks of no cable news channels, I did not miss it at all.

Quite honestly, I feel better informed that I have chosen not to listen to the idiot news readers. Not only that, I no longer get angry watching the news. Now I watch Democracy Now, BBC and some other international news shows on satellite.

I cannot recommend enough to you all how wonderful this decision was for me. You can do it as well. Just take a moment and de-prgram your tele to block Fox and CNN. Stick to it for a couple of weeks and you will be so thankful for what you did.

We all need to walk away from the nonsense, one viewer at a time. It's your turn.
