There is nothing out there that meets my needs and I'm not paying such big $$ for such old technology (in terms of alternative fuels or hybrids), so I'm just going to do a little preventive maintenance and let it "rip" another 125K or so... I may break down and go for a used Prius if I become convinced I'd do ok in ice and snow, but right now, like many, I've saving every $$ I can. With rare exceptions I drive ONLY the 36 miles round trip to work and back and walk everywhere else from home in the evenings and on weekends. I only wish I could walk/bike to work in fair weather or there was a reasonable mass transit alternative.

The economy sucks, but beyond the corrupt and incompetent administration, there is lots of blame to go around, corporation-wise.
