42. Let's see here,
The majority of Americans favor an impeachment inquiry<http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Zogby_Americans_support_consideration_of_impeachment_1104.html> That right there sounds like a positive vis-a-vis elections. Then there is the matter of pursuing justice, which most Americans favor. Let us not forget our image abroad, which at this moment is dismal. For a long while people of foreign nations were able to seperate their dislike of American government from their favorable opinion of American people. After the '04 election, that is no longer the case and the American public is being held accountable for the government we elected. Pursuing impeachment, restoring the rule of law in this country would go a long way to mitigating that foreign perception and once again elevating foreign opinion of the US. Then there is the little matter of the oaths our representatives swore, you know, the one to defend the Constitution? Don't you think that it's time they started fulfilling those oaths?

Yet once again, you simply want to cave to the 'Pugs, even though they're at an all time low in popularity, even though Bush is less well liked than Nixon, even though the American people cry for justice. No wonder Congressional approval ratings are worse than Bush's. Think about it.
