Worked 33 years for a well known (household word*) company,
led her district in gross margin, flown to company HQ to
receive awards on several occasions, always earned her bonus,etc, etc.
When they decided to get rid of her they simply cut off her leads
and intentionally raised her goals higher than they knew she could meet.
She eventually had to quickly take earily (55) retirement to avoid being canned altogether.

It's been tough. She's just not the same person anymore.
This experience has very nearly destroyed her.
