24. You Always Hate The Ones You Love...
The irony about the Democratic party is how we revel in our diversity...yet there are those who demand a strict party discipline when it comes to voting. They screamed, rightfully, about the ham-handed tactics of a Rove or DeLay, yet expect a similar response from Democrats to vote in lock step. They're rail at the 6 who didn't vote with the majority with scorn instead of looking closer at the entire playing field.

If Democrats are to be a majority, it must be willing to accept and work with many different points of view from many different backgrounds. Not all legislation that is good for one group is desireable for another...a Democrat from Lower Manhattan is not the same as one from rural Tennessee or Colorado...leadership can suggest, but I don't think any of us want one that extorts or bullies.

As usual the GOOP votes like a herd...leading their party off the political abyss as they attempt to protect their fading power while pissing off more and more voters.
