When does the whole thing collapse?

Two thirds of our economy is consumer driven. We have four dollar a gallon gas on the horizon. The Euro is King and our dollar is now worth less than the Canadian loony. The Middle Class is almost extinct. Forty Million or so people with out Health Care.
The point I am trying to make is when will we reach the Boston Tea Party scenario? What will tip this country over the edge and make people wake up? I am starting to think nothing will make this lazy, pathetic, excuse for a country wake up!
