that countries like the U.S. use to inflict maximum damage with minimum risk to their troops . . . unfortunately, bombing is a hugely imperfect tactic that more often than not kills and maims civilians while destroying housing and infrastructure and, in some cases (e.g. depleted uranium weapons), contaminating the countryside for generations . . .
aerial and long-distance bombing are, by their very nature, war crimes and crimes against humanity . . . just because no international body has yet bothered to say so doesn't make it any less true . . .
