Matt Lauer was trying to get Barack Obama to say whether or not he believes we are headed towards a recession. It was a yes or no question, and Obama would not answer it.

Lauer called him on it, too, and reminded Obama it was a yes/no question: do you believe we are headed towards a recession.

So while Obama is continuously claiming Sen. Clinton ducks the tough questions (he's saying this as I listen to him right now on the podcast of Tavis Smiley's PRI show), Barack Obama is becoming what he rallies against.
