and he wasn't the end to end all either. Had some other ties to GM as well in the past.

As far as them spinning off Chrysler...all I can say is that I work there (hopefully still will) and our direct management said the spinoff rumors at the hdqtrs probably 'has some legs' so that's what I hear from the inside. The buyer - none other than Cheri (sp?) Motors from where else but China.

Just keeps getting better and better don't it?

And since I have worked in the auto industry for the past 30+ years, I will tell you that EVERY contract year, the big 3 cry like babies wanting SOMETHING from the workers. That is nothing new. It's business as usual for them at contract time and they do it to all of the big 3 until the UAW choses a 'target' for the negotiations. Once the 'target' company is chosen and negotiations are complete and a 'pattern' is set, the other 2 use that as a basis for their contracts with the UAW.
