10. The WaPo article was simply wrong.
Even the text provides no reason to believe the claim--no hard evidence, no proof, etc., etc.

The AQ reference was Ansar al-Islam, claimed to be an AQ affiliate, not AQ-Central.

Most of the rest ... equally odd.

Personally, the only interesting bit is the implication that one *should* be surprised that no WMD were found. Blix's 2003 report listed a lot of stuff that nobody could prove was destroyed--and it put him in a bind. He couldn't say it wasn't there, since it was documented or confessed to by Iraq, but he couldn't say it was there since (a) he couldn't find it and (b) that would legitimate, in some sense, *.
