You completely took that quote out of context, it was followed up by this sentence "I would probably make out better also, but I much prefer things the way they are now."

The OP author was not calling it a "win/win" situation for themselves, in fact they were saying that even though he may make more money for himself if jobs were shipped overseas they would prefer to see others given a chance to get ahead. They were saying that even though they may make more money in the other system, it would still be a loss for them to lose those employees. There is nothing selfish about that position, please lets not take things out of context to make people look bad.
