Yeah, it's sad how our egos are tied up in our jobs. I feel old, worn out, and like complete crap.

The irony is - my job was with a privately-held company that professed to value loyalty and camaraderie. Even when I was laid off, I wasn't making the money I did at (famous worldwide airline) 12 years ago. But I thought they appreciated me and knew I'd give 100% and never charge overtime...

Stupid me. Should have see the handwriting on the wall when they added a B*SH to the corporate payroll.
