25. The point I was trying to make is
that we do not know what her views on the war are - she has not shared them. I'd like to give her the benefit of a doubt.

Although we are the offspring of our parents, we are NOT our parents. I do not share the political philosophies my parents did (may they rest in peace - I have no avenue at this time to try to change that), and I reject the notion that my father's political beliefs are my own.

Do you understand better?
