some of us actually do get it that two dozen Senators voted for this silly thing knowing how the home crowd feels. Nothing to do with "spinelessness" just how the game is played.
It's all political theater, and the few who take it all that seriously and getting all het up about it don't know enough to help the cause anyway.
They could hurt it though. Gotta watch out for the ignorant rushing into a delicate situation and screwing things up even more.
