1. Very unusual, very rare case
Male breast cancer without BRCA1 or BRCA2 genetic mutations is very, very unusual and indicative of some environmental exposure. TCE & PERC are likely the cause and we need to get them and other toxic chemicals that cause diseases out of our environment.

We can't get to the bottom of this until scientists make the final links to human exposure to environmental toxins.

Scientists are close to making these links but, surprisingly, this is one area of breast cancer research that can't get funding, mostly because it takes longer and doesn't result in the development of new treatments

BCERA (S.579/H.R.1157) has 66 co-sponsors in the Senate and 252 co-sponsors in the House. Reid and Pelosi both have pledged to make it a priority of this Congress to get it passed. It provides the NIH $40 million a year to give grants to researchers to determine links between environment and breast cancer.

The bill is currently in the HELP Committee in the Senate and the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Dems need to take action and get these bills marked up, voted out of committee and on the floor for a vote - where they will pass.
