Question about posting to DU

As you can see, I recently posted my 300 th message to DU. I'm trying to do my posting where it is more easily readable by others and also easier for me to keep track of. I find that by automatically adding a post to my journal as I am composing it, it makes it easy for me to later find to check for responses.

When I click on a thread to read the responses, I see that most posters do not appear to update their journal. But maybe I'm missing something.

Which brings me to my question. Do most posters find it easier and more efficient NOT to use the journal ? I know mine has almost 300 entries, most of which are of no importance to me or anyone else. My first thought is just to keep the very few posts that I think are important.

To save or not to save. That is the question. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
