...you can find it in other places. United Food and Commercial Workers union has a pretty good fact sheet with independent
references, so even though you know they're anti-WalMart, the facts they cite (including the Wall Street Journal) are all real.

Yes of course. Mom & Pops are lionized by the urban professionals and bohemian college students that populate D.U., just like they love unploughed rural countryside dotted with old ramshackle barns - not recognizing the crushing rural poverty it represents. They don't want to recognize that, in the reality based world, WalMart is often a step up. They'd rather create stupid signs.

But CostCo is even better than WalMart. Seriously. There is a different. They take really good care of their people. So use them if you have a choice.
