6. You worked under false pretenses in the first place, quite frankly.
Democratic leadership never made any kind of promise that they would impeach Bush. They promised that they would investigate until the earth's end, and I believe they absolutely are holding up that end of the bargain, but for you to impose such ridiculous sanctions on them for something they'd never agreed to do in the first place is absurd.

As far as the war is concerned, let me save you the trouble - the war will not end, no matter what Congress does. Bush has already said he's going to stay in Iraq to the end of his tenure, no matter what. Even if we pulled funding for the war, which is NOT representing the will of at least 60% of the American people I might add, he's got plenty to keep the troops there until the end of his term. Further, even if we were to pass laws that say we have to withdraw troops, Bush can invoke his powers of Commander-in-Chief and still keep them there as long as he wants.

All of that said, Democrats DID pass a bill that would have put a timetable for withdrawal in place. You might have noticed that bill was vetoed. That will happen to every bill Democrats pass to that effect, and we will not be able to override that veto until enough Republicans jump ship, which is to say, not until Satan has to wear a parka and starts making snow-angels in hell.

You can decry me as an apologist all you want, but those are the facts. The Democrats can't do shit with this President and with this slim majority, and we all knew it going into November. We all knew it was going to be gridlock with a slim majority and the power of the veto in play. It seems many around DU have conveniently forgotten that lately.
