Now he finds that he only needs to steal it with executive privilege, signing statements and fear mongering.

I do see one positive aspect to this latest information. Many of us here believe that the Supreme Court is firmly on Bush's side in his goal of establishing the unitary executive. This recent action by the Bush administration seems to run counter to that line of reasoning. It would seem that Bush doesn't want to chance his privilege claims with a trip into court even though a court win would be a tremendous vindication of his troubled administration. I just hope that many in Congress see this a justification for a push toward declaring inherent contempt of Congress.
