Police mishandled the electric (Jesus-Zapper) gadget saga

I am appaled by the unprofessional manner in which Herman Owomugisha, the Entebbe Airport Police chief, and his colleagues, have bungled the case of the attempted importation of an “Electronic Touch” gadget by Obiri Yeboah Korji Nana.

The URA officials are commended for bringing to the attention of Police a suspicious-looking gadget. If the police did not suspect the gadget to be a Weapon of Mass Deception (WMD), they should have cleared Mr. Korji to bring it in.

By calling a press conference, Police alerted all pastors accused of using such gadgets to hide the evidence.

The Police should have carried out surveillance and caught them in the act. All they needed was to go to the churches on Sunday or Friday during night prayers.
