20. There's a rumor in Nashville that Senator Alexander might be Vanderbilt's next chancellor
The current chancellor (Gordon Gee) just resigned to go back to Ohio State. Lamar Alexander (our senior Senator, now that Senator Cat Killer has retired) has been mentioned in the past as a candidate for Vanderbilt's chancellor position which pays $1+ million and has LOTS of perks.

If Alexander is offered and takes the job, then our (barely) Democratic Governor (Bredesen) could appoint Harold Ford (who many of us believe actually won the last Senate race, if only 93 of our 95 counties had not used DREs to record the consent of the governed).

Just hoping and praying here in my dark holler this evening.

PS Watch Bill Moyer's program tonight or as soon as it is broadcast in your area. It was on impeachment and was a country-changing program.
