88. It is the combination of audio and visual stimuli to the brain.
A fooling of the brain into a visual dream on the TV screen. No thought needed or provided. Just raw data being fed to the brain via ears and eyes. IMO, it is why TV has such a horrible grip on a huge amount of people.

We just can't break free from flashy spectacles. Like slowing down to look at the car crash or turning up the radio to hear about how many people died in such and so event. A compulsion to avoid critical thinking and allowing our baser brain functions to take over.
