Why the hatred for Jobs?

Jobs is the quintessential megalomaniac dictator CEO.

Apple has always been a company that basically refused to open up and let independent software companies write for its platform, and, big surprise, the iPhone continues that tradition. As a software developer, that attitude just bugs me. The message Steve Jobs has always sent is that he knows what's best and anyone else who thinks differently is just wrong. He is a control freak. Now this works 90% of the time, because Jobs is a genius with an incredibly good sense of what works and sells. However, in the long run it means that his companies will always have a tiny market share.
