.... does have physical impacts. Fear and frustration cause our endocrine glands to work overtime, and this can have serious long-term repercussions. I did a bit of research into this, as it relates to a) workplace health complaints, and b) the discontent experienced by people affected by environmental toxins, ranging from Agent Orange to Bhopal and Chernobyl. In the past, policymakers (and even some physicians) used to brush this off as "just in your minds" -- but of course there is nothing "just" about it (in any sense of the word!).
