2. The 90's may have been safer
but that was the decade that "they" were setting things in motion for America's downfall. They used bills like NAFTA, to set up our fall. We still retain the the right to either, renegotiate or pull-out of these disastrous, capitalistic "agreements", yet our officials don't. We must remove money from the electoral process or our officials will never be responsible to "we the people", they will remain indebted (and therefore compelled to represent) the corporations instead of us. All elections should be publicly financed. It would really save us a lot of money in the long run and force politicians to be much more responsive to citizens not corporations. We've said it all before, but until that happens, the corporate hit-men will stay very gainfully employed, at our peril.
