23. The cameras that captured the actual impact were not high speed cameras.
The security cams I placed around my home have the same sort of problem. The capture card pulls in 32 frames per second, cinema quality right? That's if I attach one camera. Add a second, the framerate is split. Currently I'm running 4 cameras, so I'm getting 8 frames per second. Without spending a LOT of money on security cams and the underlying video capture systems, you're not going to get very good framerates, back in 2000-2001. (today, you can get a pretty slammin' capture card for a couple hundred bucks, no problem) Consider these were installed in traffic control gates, essentially to capture the person who pushed the button to get a parking ticket from the gate, and a second to grab the image of the vehicle as it passed by. They probably didn't spend a lot on it. Certainly not a high speed camera needed to capture a 757 travelling at around 530mph, for the field of view that would have exposed the plane to the camera.

So that seems consistent and normal. However, I would like to see the surveilance video from the Citgo gas station across the street, and the hotel, which have not been made public, to my knowledge.
