The hell that is wrong with "you people" is that she belittled a very serious issue--even if she did it unwittingly, she should know not to try to be cute anywhere near an issue that has had such dire consequences for so many Americans--and continues to...!
And referring to "you people" and "what the hell is wrong with ", is certainly your right to do-but does little to inspire a serious or intelligent response, and does much to illuminate your lack of seriousness and intelligence.
