But let us look to a phoenix rebirth. Ditch the present moribund Dem leadership. Indeed, ditch the two party system--the double dose of mediocrity and mendacity we call "democracy." Pull down the money power. Drive our elites to common decency or guillotines: their choice.

Clear out the corrupt old deadwood and we might just see an American renaissance. Don't scoff: history is ironic and full of surprises, and it looks favorably, sometimes, on upstarts.

But every fool knows the following -- everyone that is but useless party aparatchiks who think replacing a Bush with a Hillary is medicine. Throw more time down the sinkhole of same-old, same-old, and we won't get anywhere. If that is the best the Dems can do -- run Hillary, this sad tool of wealth and war -- then Carlin will be proved right.
